Nocs Provisions Binoculars for Backyard Birding and Trail Camera Scouting

rayne

At 39, with two kids who love being outside, I’ve started paying more attention to the wildlife moving through our backyard and the woods surrounding our property in New England. What began with checking trail cameras slowly turned into early morning coffee on the porch while birdwatching, observing the many species in our atrium of a backyard, and spending more quiet time outdoors.

We have tow pairs of Nocs binoculars outside in our covered outdoor space that I use every day whether I’m watching birds by myself, or with my family.

Why I Like Nocs Binoculars for Everyday Wildlife Watching

What immediately stood out to me was how lightweight and approachable they feel compared to traditional binoculars. They’re compact enough to leave near the back door or throw into a backpack without thinking twice.

I mostly use them for:

  • backyard birdwatching
  • observing birds in the conservation area behind my property
  • nature walks and geocaching with my kids

The image clarity is surprisingly sharp for such a compact pair of binoculars, especially during the early morning hours when wildlife activity really starts picking up.

Helpful for Trail Camera Placement

One thing I didn’t expect was how useful they’d become for trail camera scouting. Before walking directly into an area, I can sit back and quietly observe:

  • game trails
  • transition areas
  • movement near water
  • bedding edges
  • field crossings

This helps reduce unnecessary disturbance while deciding where to place my trail cameras.

Great for Casual Backyard Birding

As a mom, I also appreciate how easy they are for my kids to use. Birdwatching has quietly become part of our mornings, and almost every morning we can spot gray catbirds, house finch, cardinals, blue jays and morning doves around the yard.

Nocs Provisions feel durable, simple, and practical without feeling overly tactical or complicated, and they come in great color combinations.

If you enjoy:

  • backyard birding
  • trail cameras
  • wildlife observation
  • deer scouting
  • nature walks
  • outdoor family activities

…Nocs binoculars are honestly a great fit and my preferred binocular. I have two pairs at home. Have I also mentioned I love how cool their color combinations are? And for me, they’ve become less about the gear itself and more about slowing down enough to notice the wildlife that’s already all around us as a price point that wont break the bank.
